CASHIER/STUDENT ACCOUNT ASSISTANT

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Head Cashier with all duties
• Receipt cash under general supervision of the Student Account Specialist/Head Cashier
• Answer questions regarding tuition & fees, payment plans, room and board
• Process payment plan contracts
• Resolve problems with student accounts
• Process returned checks
• Assist with processing student refunds
• Prepare miscellaneous monthly billings
• Perform data input
• Resolve problems on accounts assigned to collection agencies
• Maintain “holds” on student accounts
• Assist Student Account Specialist with fee assessment tables
• Perform general office duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills (cheerful and helpful attitude)
• Two years cashiering or related experience
• Good customer relations skills
• Proficient with 10 key, and PC software Microsoft Excel and Word

Preferred:

• Associate’s degree
• Bookkeeping experience

SALARY

$1, 758.83 per month.  Excellent fringe benefits.
