The Midland College Foundation’s only purpose is to provide support to Midland College. The amount of state funds devoted to community colleges has decreased precipitously over the years which, in turn, causes community colleges to look to outside sources to fulfill their mission. This is particularly true with respect to institutions like Midland College which have undergone dramatic growth. By whatever measure you choose to evaluate success and growth: (1) students taking credit courses and successfully transferring to four year institutions; (2) workforce development through the Advanced Technology Center and other programs; or (3) providing continuing education classes and community services, Midland College has been, and continues to be, an unqualified success over its thirty year plus history.
The Midland College Foundation provides supplemental funding to Midland College programs which are recommended by the faculty and ultimately approved by the administration. If you and your family are interested in the future of Midland and the Permian Basin, you inevitably must be interested in the continuing success of Midland College. We invite your review of this website and your participation along with the Board of Trustees in assisting Midland College in fulfilling its mission to Midland and the Permian Basin.
