MIDLAND COLLEGE
Midland College is a comprehensive institution of higher education offering a Bachelor of Applied Technology degree, associate degree programs in both academic and technical areas, plus one-year certificate programs. Midland College is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as well as all state agencies and appropriate professional licensure associations. Established in 1972, Midland College occupies a beautiful 163-acre campus in the northern part of Midland, Texas. Located in West Texas, midway between Fort Worth and El Paso, Midland is a growing, dynamic city of about 100,000 residents.
ROLES OF MIDLAND COLLEGE
Midland College fulfills three main educational needs: 1) The Bachelor of Applied Technology degree and university-parallel courses for the first two years of other baccalaureate degrees ; 2) Occupational-technical courses designed to meet local employment and retraining needs; and 3) non-credit continuing education courses for general population of the area.

EDUCATION AT MIDLAND COLLEGE
Small classes, modern facilities, dormitories, convenience, low cost, and dedicated instructors make Midland College attractive for your educational needs. Daytime or evening classes make it easy to fit college into your schedule.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES
A full-time Student Activities Director plans events and competitions for all students. Numerous special interest clubs, art shows, musical presentations, lectures, films, drama productions, and special events offer attractive choices for students. Intramural sports (often coed) are available in many areas.
CHAPARRAL ATHLETICS
The college athletic teams, whose mascot is the speedy chaparral (roadrunner), participate at conference and national levels in men’s and women’s basketball, men’s golf, men’s baseball and women’s softball and women’s volleyball. The 5,000-seat Al G. Langford Chaparral Center is home for the Midland College basketball team, but hosts numerous other events. There’s a 18-court tennis center, plus the well-equipped Physical Education Building and outdoor playing fields
